Education: Savannah International School Expands
13 Jan 2025
Savannah International School is beginning the second phase of its expansion. Located in the Gros Bois precinct, this private pre-primary and primary school will soon expand.
Construction has already begun for additional classrooms, a teachers’ lounge, a library, and a space dedicated to art and science. This expansion will add 1,800 square meters to the existing infrastructure, thus strengthening the school’s capacity.
Inaugurated in January 2022, the school currently hosts 140 students. Upon completion of this new extension, the capacity will reach up to 230 students. A total investment of Rs 105 million will be dedicated to this second phase, with construction lasting 12 months. Furthermore, a third phase is already being considered, with the addition of 1,000 additional square meters.
“We are delighted to launch this second phase, which will allow us to welcome more children in an optimal environment. Our establishment has already attracted many parents, not only through its infrastructure but also thanks to its educational programs” states Tamrin de Robillard, director of Savannah International School.
For Vincent Lagesse, Senior Manager of Savannah Connected Countryside, the establishment now occupies a central place within the village. “This educational project is essential for welcoming families to Savannah. By offering an English-language curriculum, we have responded to a growing demand from parents seeking quality education for their children. We are very pleased with the success of the establishment, which is part of a long-term development vision” says Vincent Lagesse.
