Percy Driver Takes on the Ultra Terrestre: A Grueling 224 km Challenge in Réunion Island
08 May 2025
Race director of Savann’Adventure, Percy Driver is currently in Réunion Island to take on an entirely different challenge: the Ultra Terrestre, an epic endurance race covering 224 km and 14,330 metres of elevation gain, crossing the island from south to north.
A Monumental Journey Across “The Intense Island”
Kicking off in Saint-Philippe and finishing in Saint-Denis, the Ultra Terrestre offers a unique route that even surpasses the legendary Diagonale des Fous in difficulty. Designed for elite trail runners seeking the ultimate test, this course promises breathtaking terrain, brutal climbs, and a truly unforgettable adventure.
A Mauritian Trio Takes on the Challenge
Percy won’t be alone on the starting line. Two other Mauritian trail runners: Bryan Lenon and Clément Deffrenne, will also be representing the island. While each runner brings his own experience and mindset to the race, they are united by a shared passion for trail running, wild landscapes, and pushing their limits.
